A brief history... The school was founded in 1996 with the vision of providing
quality 'O' Level instruction to the pupils. This was one of the few 'O' Level
schools of that time, and remains, to-date, the ONLY 'O' Level school in the DHA
School System. At the time of its establishment, the school was housed in a
small off-campus portion of the larger DA Model School, Phase IV, Karachi. Lack
of facilities and low enrollment were the major problems faced by the founding
father,Dr. Mahmud-uz-Zaman, at the time, but his stern will and absolute
determination overpowered the odds and the school progressed. Work was started
on a much larger and grander building with all the required facilities and the
end result was the current campus, the LARGEST campus of ANY school in Karachi.
The new campus was officially inaugurated in the year 2000, at the turn of the
millennium. Since then the school progressed rapidly, enrollment
increased and in order to cope with the increasing demands, the teacher staffing
also increased. Previously the school used to have classes VI - 'O' Levels only,
but with the shift to the new campus, these was extended to include junior
classes, i.e., from I - V also. Dr. Zaman left the school in 2001 and was succeeded by Mrs.
Iffat Rasheed as the new principal. The school continued its endeavours to
educate the youth with the same, if not more, zeal and vigor. However, what was still lacking was an 'A' Levels department
which would make the school a complete educational system. This dream was soon
realised by the hard work and exceedingly dire efforts of Ma'am Rasheed and the
founding faculty of the 'A' Levels department. The 'A' Levels department was
inaugrated in 2002. Since then, both 'A' Levels and 'O' Level departments have
worked exceedingly well, often producing top class graduates, who have went and
succeeded in every possible sense of the word. |
